I’ve been reading some really random, perfect things lately & thought I’d share:

“Memory is a marvel, quick as a monkey and just as silly, and it’s all we’ve got – we live by distorted memory rather than verifiable truth. Memory is feeling, not fact, ghosts and fears that haunt us, floating desires and falsifying dreams more powerful and more compelling than hard reality will ever be” [bill ayers]

“…sometimes she seemed invisible like peace.” [graham greene]

“Wouldn’t we all do better not trying to understand, accepting the fact that no human being will ever understand another, not a wife a husband, a lover a mistress, nor a parent a child? Perhaps that’s why men have invented god – a being capable of understanding….” [graham greene]

“your life is your life

don’t let it be clubbed into dank

be on the watch.

there are ways out.

there is light somewhere.

it may not be much light but

it beats the

be on the watch.

the gods will offer you

know them, take them.

you can’t beat death but

you can beat death

in life,

and the more often you

learn to do it,

the more light there will

your life is your life.

know it while you have it.

you are marvelous

the gods wait to delight

you.” [hank]
